Mitochondria HSP70 Genes

Laurence A. Moran and Zarnaben Shah

There are genes that encode a mitochondrial version of HSP70 (mtHSP70, mBiP). The genes are usually found in the nucleus. MtHSP70 genes are more closely related to proteobacterial genes than to the other eukaryotic genes.
