Chloroplast HSP70 Genes

Laurence A. Moran and Miluska Jauregui

Eukaryotes with plastids (i.e. plants, algae) have a gene that encodes a chloroplast version of HSP70. The gene may be nuclear or on the plastid chromosome. The chlorplast version of the gene is related to the cyanobacterial dnaK gene.
